Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The Bell Inn is particularly loved for its extensive range of real ales and craft beers. Patrons rave about the warm, friendly atmosphere and the attentive staff, making every visit enjoyable. The outdoor seating area is a highlight, especially during sunny days when the garden comes alive. Guests appreciate the pub's commitment to community events, from live music to bar games, which create an engaging experience. The welcoming vibe attracts an eclectic crowd, making it a great place for both groups and individuals. Many locals also admire the non-pretentious approach to quality drinks, allowing everyone to feel at home.

Most Disliked

The most common feedback about The Bell Inn concerns the busy peak times, especially on Saturday evenings when it often reaches full capacity. This can lead to longer wait times for drinks and food, which might be frustrating for some visitors. Additionally, while the outdoor area is charming, it can become crowded, particularly during events, impacting the overall experience. A few patrons have mentioned that the layout can be a bit cramped during busier hours, making it less enjoyable for those seeking a quiet escape. Despite these minor drawbacks, many agree that the pub's atmosphere makes up for any inconveniences.

FOOD = DRINK Decent drinks of all types, and great staff n atmosphere. My favourite drink is the Brennan's Irish Stout it's gorgeous. Most recent visit Nov 2025, enjoyed a tidy pint of Mars Bar Style Stout "SPACE JUNK" 4.2 % and £4.20 a pint. Certainly recommend - Cheers

The Bell Inn is without doubt one of my favourite pubs! They have a fantastic variety of beers (with digital menus showing tasting notes) - but they are always happy to recommend and they know their stuff. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The beer garden is great too and there’s outdoor heating. A very solid 5 stars!

Came here on a date, Connor helped us both with recommendations suited to our tastes. The menu is always evolving as Connor finds new beer to order in so there's always plenty to try. My date said the sours were very tasty but said they'd rather I not contact them again. Luckily the staff here are so friendly it's easy to strike up a conversation with anyone when you're on your own.
